Jungle Experience
Day 1:
Our jeep picks you up at your hotel for the discovery
of Phuket's west coast with its still unknown beaches. Over the Sarasin bridge into Phang
Nga province, we'll find a hot spring and a waterfall,where you can climb the rocks. We
take our delicious Thai food lunch at the beautiful beach of Khao Lak. Leaving
civilisation behind us, we go on into the mountains driving along steep mountain passes
with deep ravines gaping at us until we arrive at the Khao Sok National Park, South
Thailand's largest rainforest.
Here, we have dinner and stay overnight in tree top bungalows, accommodated with
electricity and private bathroom.
Day 2:
After breakfast, we'll go out to explore the Sok river
by canoe. This way, you will see a lot of animals as they don't hear you coming. Keep your
camera ready! Return to "camp" for lunch and then, a friendly elephant will take
you on its back for a stroll through the jungle.
At a pittoresque waterfall, you'll get the chance to cool off in the pool. Don't forget to
feed your giant friend some local bananas. Again to our base to enjoy a well deserved
dinner and spend the last night in this overwhelming jungle.
Day 3:
In the cool morning mist and with the gibbons
"singing" in the background, we'll have breakfast. Then, we visit a small cave
temple staffed by a
hermit-monk and feed the Holy Fish. Through a landscape of strange limestone formations we
drive on to a spectacular temple complex, build in the middle of nowhere. In Ao Luk, we
will take a longtail boat through the mangrove swamps in search for prehistoric cave
paintings and the nearby Dark and Lod Caves after which we return to Phuket.
